Becoming a Member
At Island Ford Baptist Church, we welcome all and give glory to God for the growing members and visitors alike! Reception of members include By Baptism, By Letter, By Statement, or By Restoration. If you are interested in becoming a member, please speak directly with Pastor Charlie.
Baptism
Baptism by complete immersion of the believer in water is the prerequisite for church membership. Only those believers confessing Jesus Christ as Saviour may be baptized and this act is an act of obedience to Christ and a testimony to His death, burial, and and resurrection and not an act to wash away sins. It has no saving power.
Serving as a Member
New members of Island Ford will find the church to be a vibrant and thriving place where they can grow in the Lord! The membership packet provided to all new members offers a comprehensive list of avenues to get involved at your new church. Island Ford provides a variety of paths for growth and service, including Sunday School Classes, Men’s Prayer Gatherings, Sisters In Christ Meetings, Soul Winning Visitation, Discipleship Classes, the Adult Choir, GROW Time for children, and the Van Ministry. There is a place for everyone to get involved, and we encourage you to explore the many ways you can contribute to the life and ministry of Island Ford Baptist Church!
